Joel Fredrickson, DPT - ENGLEWOOD, CO

Born and raised in the great state of Michigan, Joel stayed close to home and attended Central Michigan University. He focused his learning on the study of human movement and performance with a major in health fitness and rehabilitation and minor in exercise science. After graduation, he moved to Detroit where he worked for three years as a certified personal trainer. Quickly, Joel realized that he wanted to learn more about the human body to help his patients live high quality, movement filled lives. Thus, Joel traveled to Colorado to obtain his Doctor of Physical Therapy from the University of Colorado.

While Joel enjoys every patient he has the opportunity to work with, his interests currently are with those suffering from long term pain disorders. I.E. Individuals with pain lasting longer than 3 months. These are the patients who have not gotten better with the �time heals all wounds� scenario, and need a dedicated and specialized therapy service in order to be pain free again. The day when these types of patients have their first pain free moments after months of pain and return to the activities they enjoy is one of the major reasons Joel continues to enjoy being a Physical Therapist.

​Joel is increasing his extensive knowledge on a daily basis, and has completed several continuing education courses. These have focused on advanced exercise prescription and pain science education.
​When Joel is not in the clinic, he can be found camping/hiking/skiing in the mountains, snorkeling/scuba diving under the ocean (when able!), and enjoying his new home and all the projects that stem from owning a home.
