Escape the crowded city!

This beautiful studio apartment is the perfect place to get away, unwind, and enjoy nature. The studio is attached to the Log House at Sugarloaf, which is located at the base of sugarloaf mountain and is walking distance to hiking trails. The entire home is also available for rent (different listing).

The Space:
This beautiful studio is part of an eco solar property that is completely off grid. It features heated floors, UHD TV with Direct TV, king bed with hotel bedding, free Wifi (although slow), and a large private porch. There is a small kitchenette with electric cook top, toaster oven, and mini fridge.

This apartment is completely separate from the main house and has a private entrance & private balcony, no spaces are shared. It is attached to the house however, so guests can sometimes hear noise from the main house, mostly on weekends. We provide a white noise machine and ear plugs in case this is an issue. Weekday stays are your best bet.

Prices vary based on dates and length of stay. If you put in your dates of travel it will calculate the correct pricing.

No pets or smoking in this unit is allowed.

Sugarloaf mountain is known for great hiking and beautiful views. This area also is home to many wineries, vineyards, and breweries. Only 20 minutes from Frederick MD, or 70-90 minutes from DC and Baltimore. See our guidebook for local attractions.

*Note* Cell reception and wifi service are poor in this area. They work, but are sometimes spotty. Calls will sometimes drop. You will not be able to stream video, and may have trouble with work VPN. Unfortunately there is NO solution to this.

Guest Access:
The Studio is totally separate and has a private entrance. Guests will have passcode entry.

The Neighborhood:
Sugarloaf Mountain is known for it's beautiful views and hiking, but it's also an area that's popular for wedding ceremonies and wine tastings.

Getting Around:
You will need a vehicle to get around in this area.

Other Things to Note:
Wifi and cell reception are slow in this area. Streaming video on devices will not be possible.

Interaction with Guests:
We do contact-less check-ins. But we are available via phone if guests need assistance.

This apartment is located in Urbana. Roads and Rails Museum and Frederick Fairgrounds are local attractions and those in the mood for shopping can visit Francis Scott Key Mall and Clarksburg Premium Outlets. Adventure Park USA and Bowl America Gaithersburg are also worth visiting.
