The fourth and newest addition to the Wong family’s successful restaurant tradition, Shangrila stays true to its Asian roots and the family’s philosophy offering Pan Asian cuisine and delicious sushi. Outstanding in both décor and culinary accomplishment, Shangrila is winning over the hearts and palates of critics and regulars alike. Rich woods and tapestries fill the elegant and spacious dining room while tranquil, hanging teardrop lamps highlight a Japanese Zen garden and arched footbridge. Large windows provide for sweeping views and a large carved-wood boat filled with fresh flowers sets the tone and atmosphere. Chef Michael Chan has created a brilliant and innovative menu that focuses on east and west fusions. It features a vast array of selections including Fresh Seafood, Chicken, Beef, Rice and Duck. Notable selections include the Duck and Pinenut Dumplings (pan crisped with a scwechaun ginger sauce,) Shangrila Seafood Stew (half lobster, mussels, shrimp, squid, clam and fresh fish in a saffron tomato broth,) Lemon Sage Chicken Penne Pasta and the Honey Marinated Pork Loin (with garlic smashed potatoes, sautéed greens and a Virginia gentlemen’s whisky sauce.)
