There are many things to do on the island. Visit the Daufuskie Community Farm, where everyone is encouraged to help feed the animals; take long walks down the 2 miles of nearly deserted Bloody Point Beach; play golf and tennis; dine at one of the unique restaurants or explore the island on golf carts or bikes, available for rental on the island. The island is a great place to explore! It is a water lover's and runner's paradise. If you enjoy photography, the scenery alone is worth the trip. You will see egrets, pelicans, storks, cranes and possibly an eagle or two. And there are alligators in the freshwater ponds. Organize an excursion with our friends at Tour Daufuskie to watch dolphins, explore nearby islands or the intercoastal waterway, or rent a kayak or paddleboard.
The restaurants on the island are unique & colorful! The Old Daufuskie Crab Company has a Caribbean atmosphere with a steady stream of live music on the weekends in the peak season. D’fuskies Store and Eatery offers a helpful selection of grocery store items along with fresh made deli sandwiches and pizzas. Visit School Grounds Coffee located in the historic Maryfield School for hot and cold beverages and baked treats. Pop into Daufuskie Blues while you are there to discover the lost art of Indigo dying.
Don't forget to try the island delicacy, Deviled Crab! You will need to bring your groceries over with you or, ask about grocery delivery options for the island. If you choose not to cook there are a few options for gourmet low country catering that can be delivered to the condo.
A round of golf can be played at Haig Point, which is located on the North end of the island. This is a private community and there is a charge for the round.
The only way around the island is by golf cart or bikes. We are happy to help you with the golf cart rentals.
We partner with Tour Daufuskie who can handle your ferry/boat transportation, land transportation, as well as book any additional excursions or tours that you may be interested in. You can contact them at (843)842-9449 or email them at
