Daufuskie Rental Group is pleased to announce that the Daufuskie Oasis Cottage has just completed a full renovation by its new owners. Wow...wait until you see it! Lovely beach colors, stylish but livable furnishings and decor, and walking distance to the beach.

Although this is a second row property, there's a nice view of the ocean from the front. And (talk about the best of both worlds!) a large, partially wooded back yard that is tailor-made for family activities and for observing Daufuskie's wildlife.

Note: This cottage is a duplex, but is completely separate from the next door unit with total soundproofing and no shared spaces (including the porches) with the next door cottage. Daufuskie Rental Group also manages the next door cottage, the Daufuskie Escape Cottage, and large families may want to consider renting both these units (which are decorated in very similar fashion) for their Daufuskie get-togethers.

Concerned about the logistics of coming to the island, getting groceries, etc etc? No need to worry! You will receiving lots of good information and assistance from Daufuskie Rental Group team who all live on the island and will be available 24/7 for any questions or problems. We strive to make the Daufuskie experience a stress-free and enjoyable adventure.

1) Daufuskie Rental Group makes a good faith effort to describe island amenities, including restaurants and pools. However, please note that we are not responsible for the availability of amenities that we do not operate and that are beyond our control. Please contact the vendors directly for rates, days and hours of operation.

2) Your rental agreement contract's cancellation policy states that we are not responsible for events that are beyond our control, such as hurricanes. We strongly encourage our guests to purchase travel insurance, and especially recommend "cancel for any reason" policies. (These must be purchased shortly after your reservation is made.)

3) Please note that because the Melrose Resort is in transition, our Melrose guests may notice a certain level of deterioration in the resort-owned buildings but will also see that renovation efforts are now underway. Our vacation cottages are in well-maintained areas and continue to be extremely popular.

And the cottage is SO pretty inside! Lovely colors provide a backdrop for coastal furnishings and artwork. The living/dining/kitchen area offers various seating and dining areas perfectly designed for family and friends get-togethers. The kitchen is fully equipped and perfect for cooking family meals. The comfortable living room area will get lots of use, and especially for those who watch the flatscreen Smart TV.

Thinking about coming in the winter? This is one of the few Melrose cottages with a working gas fireplace.

The two bedrooms (two queen beds in one bedroom; a queen and king in the other) are beautifully decorated and provide a restful respite from the real world. Each has a convenient ensuite bathroom.

A washer and dryer is provided for cottage guests.

And what a location! Just a two minute walk to the beach and the Equestrian Center offers beach rides, and is a 5 minute golf cart away.

PET POLICY:

The owner accepts well-behaved canine visitors, although a pet fee will apply. In addition, the property manager must approve all pet requests. Your dog must be over one year old, not be aggressive towards people or other pets, be house trained, will not get up on the furniture, and is ok with being left alone when you are away from the cottage (e.g., no incessant barking or destructive behavior). We also ask that you be a responsible pet owner when the dog is outside, that there will be no signs that your pet was in the property when you depart, and that you will be responsible for any damage and/or extra cleaning caused by your dog. Non-refundable pet fee- $125 for one pet and $175 for two pets.

Melrose on the Beach, a neighborhood in Daufuskie Island, is home to this cottage. The area's natural beauty can be seen at Coligny Beach and Tybee Island Beach. Hilton Head Zipline and Coastal Discovery Museum are also worth visiting.
