Dr. Brian Wolfe - DARIEN, CT

Dr. Brian Wolfe is an Orthopedic Certified Specialist through the American Physical Therapy Association (A.P.T.A), a certified Clinical Instructor through the A.P.T.A, a member of the Connecticut Physical Therapy Association, American Physical Therapy Association and the Orthopedic Section of Physical Therapy.

Dr. Wolfe graduated from Ithaca College with his Masters and Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2010 and specializes in sports medicine, orthopedic physical therapy, rehabilitation of CrossFit athletes, post-operative rehabilitation, and return-to-work programs.

He has experience in outpatient, acute, sub-acute, home health and aquatic physical therapy and presented his Doctorate research on hip and knee kinetics for patients who recently sustained a hip fracture.

Dr. Wolfe believes in a hands on approach utilizing extensive manual therapy skills including soft tissue massage, joint mobilization, dry needling, cupping, instrument assisted soft tissue manipulation, and taping. Calming down acute pain and prescribing specific exercises is essential for treating any orthopedic or neurological problem.

He also believes it is important to listen to his patient's goals with physical therapy. This allows him to understand what has helped or hurt them in the past and fix their problems quickly. A patient centered approach has helped Dr. Wolfe provide a better service for his clients.

In his spare time Dr. Wolfe is with his beautiful wife Dr. Kelly Wolfe and his daughter Grace. He also enjoys doing CrossFit, exercising, skiing, snowboarding, hiking, and walking his dog Murphy.
