Dr. Fuentes joins VCA Northside Animal Hospital with over 15 years of Veterinary experience. She always knew she wanted to become a Veterinarian and began volunteering at a hospitals at a young age. Her formal education in Veterinary Medicine began by attending the State University of NY at Delhi, where she became a licensed Veterinary Technician. After working for many years as a licensed veterinary technician, she earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Ross University in 2011 and spent a year in clinical rotations at the Kansas State University Collage of Veterinary Medicine. Her practical and formal education has given Dr. Fuentes a multidimensional perspective on patient care. Through her years of devotion to animal medicine, Dr. Fuentes has worked in small animal practices in Florida and New York, and now Connecticut as well! She has also worked with the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), helping to promote patient and client rights in Washington, D.C.
