Dr. Katie Ferris is a 2008 graduate of Ross University's College of Veterinary Medicine. She grew up in Longwood, Florida not far from Orlando and earned her undergraduate degree from Florida State University where she majored in Psychology with an emphasis in dog behavior. She is a Fear Free Certified Professional and joined VCA Chestatee Animal Hospital in 2010. Her special interests include surgery and client education. When not at the hospital, Dr. Ferris can be found spending time with her husband, and their two children. Her favorite activities outside of work are mountain biking with her dog, Tank, hiking, camping, racing her Miata, and gardening. Dr. Ferris also has three, furry children: Tank, an 80 pound, black Labrador/Golden Retriever mix, Tinkerbell, a 3.5 pound Yorkshire Terrier/Chihuahua mix, and one cat, Monkey.
