Michelle Jupin, DPM - COMMERCE TOWNSHIP, MI

Dr. Michelle Jupin was born and raised in Central New York. She is the daughter of Mike and Gloria also from New York. She is the second of four siblings with one older and two younger brothers. She learned the importance of education, hard work and dedication at an early age contributing to her strong work ethic and sincere concern for her patients.

Dr. Jupin received her premedical education at Syracuse University in Syracuse, New York. There, she graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in both, Biology and Psychology in 1996. She went on to receive a Doctorate in Podiatric Medicine at Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia in 2001 where she graduated in the top twenty percent of her class.

In June 2003 Dr. Jupin completed a two-year residency in both Primary Podiatric Medicine and Foot and Ankle Surgery at Pontiac Osteopathic Hospital in Pontiac, Michigan. During this time she became board qualified by the American Board of Primary Podiatric Medicine and Orthopedic Medicine.

Dr Jupin has special interest in geriatric care, sports medicine, diabetic foot and wound care as well as reconstructive surgery of the foot and ankle. She juggles a busy schedule working in several offices as well as Detroit area nursing homes where she uses her expertise in geriatric foot an ankle care.

Dr. Jupin came highly recommended and joined Dr. Harvey Lefkowitz in 2004 and is available to see patients at our Ferndale office and area hospitals. She holds privileges at several area hospitals including DMC, Botsford General, and Southeast Michigan Surgical Hospital.

Dr. Jupin is happily married to her husband Harbinder, who is equally busy in his own right as a Canadian law enforcement officer. They reside together in Windsor, Ontario that means she makes the hike through the U.S. Canada tunnel on a daily basis. She is kind, compassionate and is committed to providing her patients with the highest level of care, treating every patient as she would her own family.
