For the many, many people of our beautiful nation who are gun owners, the Second Amendment of the United States Constitution is a fundamental and necessary part of their well being. To acquire these firearms responsibly and legally, a trip to a legitimate gun store is necessary.
There are gun stores in most major cities and lots of smaller towns in the United States. In order to be able to sell guns legally, gun store owners need to have an FFL, known as a Federal Firearms License. This license has been a requirement since 1968.
After the assassinations of John F. Kennedy, Senator Robert Kennedy and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Congress passed the Gun Control Act (GCA) of 1968. While regulating distribution and domestic sales, the GCA also regulates importing of firearms and ammunition coming into the United States. The GCA I set and designed to "keep firearms out of the hands of those not legally entitled to possess them because of age, criminal background or incompetency and to assist law enforcement authorities in the states and their subdivisions in combatting the increasing prevalence of crime in the United States." In other words, it is meant to protect the citizens of our country.
When purchasing guns you can check the state-by-state listing of all license holders, the types of licensing that the gun store owners have been approved for and the license holder's contact information. Checking for these licenses ensures that your purchases from these gun stores are perfectly legal. www.GemCoCoins.com
