Who doesn't love gold? The majority of the human race adores it. The beauty of its shine and luster are completely bewitching. If you are looking to collect of invest in gold, you may want to take the time to learn and understand what impacts the price of gold. It is usually a combination of investor behaviors, supply and demand.
Gold is not something that is regularly eaten or consumed in any way (usually). Because of that fact, the vast majority of all gold that has ever been mined, is still around somewhere. Also, even more and more gold is being mined every day. It would seem as though the market would be flooded with an overabundance of gold. However, because so much of the gold is being used to make jewelry, it typically is being stored away. This means that it is, essentially, off the market.
During times of economic uncertainty, people, especially investors, tend to demand more gold. Buying gold helps to make people feel safe. When the value of the dollar goes down, people want gold. During the Great Depression, for instance, the prices of gold were working their way up. Anyone who had gold had that to rely on for the feeling of comfort.
Investors, themselves, can affect the price of gold in a lot of ways. Central banks, for instance, may decide to sell off some of their gold holdings. They sometimes do this when the demand is low. This, unfortunately, can trigger gold prices to drop.
If you are considering investing, feel free to do so. Just do your homework first! www.GemCoCoins.com
