Imagine 50 secluded acres overlooking the northern Alexander Valley with 360 degree views of surrounding mountains, fir forests and native flora and fauna. Behind a locked pipe gate, up a dirt road sits a sweet redwood ranch style house with a large porch, covered area for outdoor dining, bon-fire pit, and many campsite like spots around the property. Originally a sheep ranch, the property has many outbuildings, seasonal creeks, and dirt roads for on-site hiking. While you’re stretching your legs, stop and have a drink from the spring then come back and take a dip in the solar heated pool.
The kitchen is well equipped for anyone who enjoys cooking. Lots of interesting serving platters, linens, wine glasses, large plates and dishes. Perfect for wine country entertaining. Eat in the kitchen or outside at the long farm table in the covered area. The cabin-like living room with knotty pine walls, wood burning fireplace, comfortable furnishings is a great place to relax. There are three bedrooms with two with queen beds, one with king. Each room with it’s own unique style. Two full bathrooms and a laundry/mud room.
The quaint town of Cloverdale is a 10 minute drive away. There are plenty of restaurants, cafes, a movie theater, a farmers market in the summer months, and “Friday Night Live†on the square. Russian River swimming holes within 3 miles. Healdsburg is just 20 minutes south, Hopland 20 minutes north, and Booneville in Anderson Valley is 35 minutes west. There are lots of wineries in the area for tasting and picking up a bottle to enjoy back at the house.
In other words, this is a great place to go if you want to get away from everything and just be.
Note: We advise all wheel or 4 wheel drive to drive up the 1/3 mile dirt road during the rainy season. The house is heated by two wood burning fireplaces during the cold season. We supply wood, kindling, etc. No air conditioning, ceiling fans in each bedroom. No dishwasher.
