The Most Common Plumbing Problems that Are Meant for a Professional

Whether your home is new or old, you’re likely to have plumbing issues sooner or later. There will be times when you think you can DIY, but at times only a professional plumbing services can fix the issue. Here are some common issues that will require a professional to come and do the job for you:

1. Leaking faucets
We all have been there, done that. A leaking faucet is one of the most common and the most annoying problems. The continuous dripping sound can be nerve wrecking at times. While many of us ignore it for as much as we can, the truth is we must not delay getting it repaired. Why? Because a lot of water gets wasted. You don’t really happen to notice as it’s a drop by drop process, but collectively – it probably takes away a few liters of water.

2. Running toilets
If someone would ask me what plumbing job I wish to learn, it would be this. Running toilets can be a big nuisance and they just waste A LOT OF WATER. It not only wastes water, but also can shoot up your water bill drastically (not very cool!). It may be the lift chain or the balloon that has messed up your toilet, but it’s best to call in a pro to give it a quick fix in the first go. You really don’t want to do a lousy job on it yourself (note: there is a high risk that you can mess it up and thus shoot up the repair cost too).

3. Clogged Drain
A clogged drain is another problem that homeowners face. It can be a big nuisance as it can cause various health hazards including different skin conditions and can be the perfect home for pests and bugs. Using a drain cleaner may help, but only for a while. A clogged drain should be left to an expert who can deep clean it and allow you to have peace of mind.

4. Leaking pipes
if you see a leaking pipe somewhere on your property, its best to call your plumber immediately to fix it. This is important because a leaking pipe can cause a lot of damage to walls, ceilings floors and other parts of the home if left neglected. It can be an extremely costly repair. Therefore, it’s essential to inspect the pipes regularly for leaks, rust or lime and ensure they’re in proper working order.

5. Low water pressure
Many homeowners often get to witness low water pressure in their homes. It can be due to lime and rust in your showerhead, a leaking pipe, or build up and rust in old pipes. It’s best to get in touch with a pro to identify the problem who can do the job efficiently in the first go.

While some of these issues may sound simple and doable without expert help, it’s easier said than done. Fixing a thing as simple as a clogged drain can turn into a disaster if you don’t have the knowledge, skills and the right tools with you. So make sure you don’t make any hasty decisions and wait for an expert to do the job.
