Restaurant Description
The warm red brick walls, the kilim weavings covering some of the seating, the bustle of the bakery set at the end of the dining room and the beat of Turkish pop music make this a cozy yet lively spot. Couples, families and single diners will all find a welcoming atmosphere.

Authentic Turkish food, with lots of eggplant, tomatoes, peppers, grilled cebabs and yogurt sauces. The good-size portions should keep hearty eaters happy, while the hot and cold appetizers, traditionally combined to make a mix of nibbles for the whole table, are a lighter meal alternative.

Do you like to be entertained while you dine? Come on Friday nights for live Turkish music performances, or Saturday nights for the belly dancing.

A taste of Turkey comes pretty cheaply at this Andersonville spot. One of the restaurant's specialty dishes is called iskender: layers of Turkish fried bread, yogurt sauce, sliced gyros meat and tomato sauce. Another popular choice is Turkish pizza with ground beef, peppers, lettuce, onion and tomato. In the meantime you can try the Turkish coffee or fountain juices, available in sour cherry, lemon or orange. Seating for 100 includes pillow seats, and most tables have a view of the open kitchen. On Friday and Saturday evenings, you can listen live Turkish and Russian music and a belly dancer show.

Have you ever heard of Shish Kebab? Pieces of lamb grilled over charcoal - a delicious Turkish dish, well-known by people who have visited Istanbul.

What about Döner Kebab? A roll of lamb on a vertical skewer turning parallel to a hot grill - a typical Turkish dish.

Turkish Yogurt and other specialties: Pilav and Dolma (the name given to grape leaves, or green peppers stuffed with rice and spices) might not be familiar to you, but Turkish sweets Lokum (Turkish Delight) and Baklava are worldwide famous...

If you are interested in ethnic food, come and try the Turkish Cuisine!
