It was just over a year ago that the first ideas for State entered our collective consciousness. What was once historic Lincoln Park Foods was sitting vacant, calling our names, just waiting for one inspired leader and four young men to revitalize this tired corner. We asked ourselves important questions. What do the residents of this neighborhood need? What about the students? Business owners? The answers were clear. They needed an innovative concept in dining. One that combined the need for communication, information, great food and great times. So we called in the heavy machinery: scores of carpenters, plumbers, welders, technicians, painters and landscapers. When the dust finally settled we welcomed the birth of our vision. A wonderful symmetry of both new and classic design. Dinner club style suede booths, beautiful porcelain tile, polished concrete and stunning black granite. Mahogany and copper set a warm tone for the guest amenities and conveniences. We knew you would want to stay up to date on news, weather and financial information or cheer along with local or National sporting events. So we put in 24 state of the art flat screen televisions. At night these same screens transform into artistic canvases showcasing incredible art from all different mediums. We also realized that in this day and age of instant digital communication, it was incredibly important to have WI-Fi available with an arsenal or desktop and laptop computers so you can always stay in touch. We even have a PC design center with print, fax, and scan capabilities tucked away in a corner for those last minute emergencies that always seem to pop up out of nowhere. But of course, the star of this show is the great food. From mouth watering steaks to decadent desserts we have you covered. Welcome to an innovative new dining experience. Welcome to State.
