Bucktown’s newest hot spot for quality food is now open for any meal, be it breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Chef-owners Rob and Allie Levitt opened Mado after cooking for some of Chicago’s highly acclaimed restaurants.
The name Mado refers to Marie-Louise Point, the wife of Fernand Point, chef/owner of La Pyramide in Vienne, France. Fernand was not allowed to take a prepared dish out of the kitchen until it got his wife’s approval. His nickname for his wife was “Mado.”
