Job Description:
Footprints Recruiting and the Ministry of Education in Georgia are excited to offer candidates the opportunity to teach overseas from Feb 28th until June 2011.
Spend four months gaining valuable experience working with a co-teacher in a Georgian public school teaching English (with a focus on conversation skills). The teaching schedule is from Mon-Fri for 26-30 hours per week with 10-20 students per class. As this is a government run program successful applicants will be provided with free airfare, housing with a host family, free medical and a stipend of 500 Georgian Lari/month (which is approx. $280 USD) minus 100 Lari/month ~$50 USD which applicants must provide to their host family for utilities. Applicants will receive one week of orientation upon arrival in Georgia at which time they will receive their school placement. Volunteers must apply before the end of January 2011 if interested in the Feb 28th start date. Applicants may opt to teach until either June 2011 or Dec 2011, as long as they begin their contract before March 1, 2011.
Qualifications:
* Two years of college/ university completed,
* Fluency in English,
* No criminal background,
* Clean bill of health
