Dr. Patricia Young D.V.M., C.V.A., C.C.R.P. - CHARLOTTE, NC

Dr. Patricia Young is a native of the Steele Creek community, a graduate of Olympic High School, and a life long member of Central Steele Creek Presbyterian Church. She attended Meredith College majoring in Chemistry and Biology and received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Georgia. Dr. Young completed a small animal medicine and surgery clinical internship at the University of Illinois prior to entering private practice in Laurel, Maryland. In 1984 she returned to her home community to establish Steele Creek Animal Hospital where she continues her work as a staff doctor as well as Hospital Administrator. Dr. Young is very fond of the friendships she has made with clients and patients through the years and has been most appreciative of the community's support. Her professional areas of interest include dentistry, oncology, and geriatric medicine.

Dr. Young and her husband, Terry Herrington, share their home with one Irish Setter, 2 Great Danes, 3 cats, and have two horses on the pasture. To re-energize, Dr. Young enjoys time with her pets, camping, hiking, backpacking, horseback riding & little get-aways to the mountains.
