Lake Murray Real Estate Update 03-04-2011

Youth Bass Fishing League holds Lake Murray tournament – Eight members of the Saluda High School Bass Fishing Club recently fished Lake Murray on an unusually warm spring-like day on February 19. There was little chop on the water and only partly cloudy skies. Alex Coleman placed first individually with a weigh in of 12.60 pounds. Second place went to Brandon Proctor at 11.25 pounds. The combined weight put Alex and Brandon in first at the top of the team leader board. The S.C. Dept. of Natural Resources (DNR) recently partnered with The Bass Federation to form Youth Bass Fishing League Clubs at middle and high schools around South Carolina.

Taste of Lake Murray is March 24 – The Taste of Lake Murray will be held March 24 at the Radisson Hotel and Conference Center on Bush River Road in Columbia. The annual event, which raises money for Fourth of July fireworks celebration on the lake will begin at 6:30p.m. Tickets are $4 per person and can be purchases at the regional tourism office at 2184 North Lake Drive or online at TasteofLakeMurray.com. This year’s fireworks display will be held July 2.
