Boater Safety Course Set for Lake Murray - The Lake Murray Power Squadron, a nonprofit boater safety education organization, will hold its annual boater safety course beginning next month. Sessions will be held Tuesdays, March 1 - 29 at Flotilla Island. They will be held from 7 pm to 9 pm. The course is part of the U.S. Power Squadron's America's Boating Course program. Lake Murray Hosts Walmart Bass Fishing League Tourney -  Jeremy Wilson of Blacksburg, caught a five-bass limit weighing 21 pounds, 6 ounces on Saturday to win $4,359 in the Walmart Bass Fishing League South Carolina Division tournament on Lake Murrray. He was fishing midlake in six to twelve feet of water using jigs with brown and green pumpkin trailers to haul in his limit. The event's other top 10 winners were Ryan Raley, Jeff Rikard, Mark Curry, Artie Phillips, John Axsom, Parks Jones Jr., Kevin Fulmer, Randy Childers, Keith Henderson and Jeff Rikard.
