Dr. Arnold Hertz, DPM - CEDARHURST, NY

Dr Arnold Hertz started his private practice in 1981 after completeing a surgical residency through the New York College of Podiatric Medicine. He was appointed Chief Resident in Podiatric Surgery.

During that time he gained extensive experience in Reconstructive Foot Surgery, Emergency Room Trauma, General Orthopedics, routine foot problems, as well as treating severe foot infections in the Vascularly Impaired and the high risk Diabetic Foot.

From 1998 to 2003 Dr. Hertz practiced with the South Island Orthopedic Group, in Cedarhurst, New York, where he practiced with 5 Orthopedic Surgeons with various subspecialities. At that time Dr. Hertz was the group specialist in treating foot and ankle problems.

In April of 2003 Dr Hertz opened his new office, with the latest equipment, in a "Patient Freindly Environment". He continues to maintain the highest levels of accreditation and pursues ongoing education to stay abreast of the latest trends in medicine and surgery by taking post-graduate courses and workshops on a regular basis, so that he can offer his patients the newest and best treatments available. He enjoys educating his patients and explaining there foot and ankle problems, so that together the best treatment for that patient and their particular condition can be found.

Dr. Hertz is Board Certified by The American Board of Podiatric Surgery in Foot Surgery, and Board Certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine.

Dr. Hertz is currently the Director of the Department of Podiatry and Director of the Three year Podiatric Surgical Residency Program at St. John's Episcopal Hospital.
