Private cottage has ocean view, and is just across the road from Caspar Headlands State Park. Enter through a private gate into your own garden with outdoor seating. Inside the cottage, you will find a kitchen with stove, microwave, fridge, a cozy gas fireplace, free wifi and cable t.v., comfy queen bed with new mattress and quality bedding, tile floor, skylights, full bath with claw foot tub, artistic and period details. From the cottage, walk to the beach, or 5 minute drive to Mendocino.

Our tiny town sits on the headlands above the Pacific Ocean, approx. 4 miles north of the lovely coastal village of Mendocino. Our property is directly across the road from the Caspar Headlands State Park, and a 10 minute walk through the headlands takes you to Caspar Beach, one of the safest and prettiest beaches in the area. At Caspar Beach you will find a small store with surf and kayak rentals. In the other direction, heading north on foot, it's a 10 minute walk to Jug Handle State Park, where there is another beach, as well as a guided nature hike and other amenities. Within a few minutes drive, you will reach Point Cabrillo Light House, Russian Gulch State Park, Mendocino Headlands State Park, and Big River, among many other beautiful destinations.

After a full day of hiking, kayaking, biking or enjoying the spectacular beaches of the north coast, you can head into the village of Mendocino (5 minutes by car) where you will find restaurants, galleries, shops, a theater and art center, and other amenities. Mendocino also has a full service grocery store and a health food store so you can stock up for meals and snacks.
