Stunning views – extending from the Santa Lucia Mountains to Point Lobos and across Carmel Bay to Pebble Beach – greet you in this classically elegant 2,039 sf, 4-bedroom, 4-bath Carmel home, aptly named Heavenly Vista.
Situated in a quiet, neighborhood only minutes from the downtown, a sweeping deck leads to the front door that opens to a great room flooded with coastal light. The views from most rooms in the house are unparalleled. Perfect for a family reunion or several couples traveling together, this house is filled with areas for intimate conversations, game playing, reading or quiet contemplation.
Upon your arrival you will be greeted with complementary wine and cheese, tickets for a wine tasting at Scheid Vineyards’ tasting room in downtown Carmel-by-the-Sea and a basket of local information. An assigned concierge vacation house manager is available to assist you during your stay. We have also provided spa amenities in the bathrooms, spa robes and beach gear.
The great room combines the living room and 2 dining areas and features floor-to-ceiling windows, high beamed ceilings, hardwood floors and a stone gas-burning, log fireplace. The living room, with its comfortable sofa, leather ottoman and 2 occasional chairs, is the perfect place to cozy up in front of a warm fire on cool nights and watch movies on the large flat-screen TV or to relax and drink in the vistas.
Enjoy your meals over stunning views at an oval mahogany dining table with upholstered chairs for 8. A 2nd dining area beyond the living room has a round table with 4 chairs and built-in shelves stocked with inspirational reading. Sliding glass doors open to a patio and a stone pond. A casual terraced garden is planted with natives.
Prepare gourmet meals in a spotless fully equipped kitchen with white cabinets, marble counters, a gas range, dishwasher, refrigerator, microwave and all the cooking tools you could ever want. Beautiful dishware and linens are provided for elegant entertaining.
Off the living room is a multi-purpose room - which could serve as an office, den or bedroom - with a gas-burning fireplace, flat screen TV, a built-in desk and a queen sleeper sofa for 1 or 2 children. A nearby bathroom has a shower.
You'll never want to leave the 2nd-story master suite. Relax in the king bed with plush coverlet and luxury linens and watch TV, gaze over the treetops to the ocean or bask in the firelight from the gas-burning fireplace while you enjoy a glass of wine chilled in the mini-refrigerator at the wet bar just outside the door. An elegant bathroom features double sinks, gleaming marble counters, white cabinets and a glass-enclosed walk-in tiled shower.
Two additional bedrooms are downstairs. One has 2 twins (convertible to a king with foam topper) with luxury linens. The nearby bathroom has a glass-enclosed tub/shower. The other bedroom features a king bed (convertible to twins) with luxury linens and a private bathroom. Both have a flat screen TV.
The deck is magnificent with multiple seating and dining areas perfect for quiet gatherings that show consideration of our neighbors. One section, glass-enclosed for wind protection, has a metal table with umbrella and chairs for 6 for al fresco meals. More guests can gather in an adjacent area that has upholstered furniture with a gas fire pit and an outdoor heater. Another section has a table and chairs for 4. A six-person hot tub was installed in November of 2015.
One car can be parked in the double garage; more driveway parking is available. Three cars is the maximum allowed to park at this home. There is no on-street parking.
