The ‘Lanark Lifestyles’ site at 240 Gore Street East, at the corner of Scotch Line Road in Perth’s east end, will eventually be home to two 4-storey residences and a small commercial complex of 4-5 stores that may include a pharmacy.The first building will contain 102 units featuring studio, 1 and 2-bedroom residences for independent living, as well as floors for assisted living and memory care. Dr. Chadha says construction on this first phase hopefully will be completed in the fall of 2019. The second building will house 100 units, with completion slated for a few years later.Dr. Chadha says the project is one of few in Eastern Ontario that will be owned and operated by health care professionals. He states, “I currently have a practice in the Ottawa area, and I’ve been drawn to geriatric care to the point where many of my patients are seniors. I’ve been able to observe the special needs required for seniors as they age. We’ve been careful to design this facility to reflect those stages and the levels of care needed to take seniors through later life.”
