135 Plymouth

135 Plymouth is located in the heart of Brooklyn’s vibrant DUMBO neighborhood. It is comprised of four interconnected landmark buildings constructed at the turn of the century as a machinery and metal product factory by EW Bliss & Company.

During World War II, when most of the neighborhood’s factories were converted to meet military needs, 135 Plymouth was transformed into to a munitions factory. It was at this time that the unique separated building at the center of the block was created as storage for finished munitions before they were sent down the East River to support the war effort.

Now the building is part of the vibrant live-work community that is the DUMBO neighborhood. 135 Plymouth embodies the live-work mentality the have come to define Brooklyn and DUMBO.
