This lovely two story tree-top home in a picture-book setting is surrounded by the Blue Ridge Mountain range, which is clearly visible from November through May. Its floor-to-celing wrap-around windows offer spectacular views of the North Carolina wilderness, whether it be trees swaying in the wind or clouds scudding across a stormy sky with the ever-present mountains as a backdrop. Its impressive wrap-around deck offers plenty of space for cooking out, entertaining, bird-watching, or just enjoying the solitude and the whisper of a mountain breeze through the tree tops.
This secluded GEM is tucked away off a private road with little to no traffice. Features of this weekend get-away include a cozy gas fireplace that effortlessly heats this two bedroom, two bath home; a crate and barrel wrap-around couch; and a 42" T.V. mounted on a swiveling arm which picks up 15 channels with crystal clear viewing pleasure. There is unlimited WIFI and an Amazon fire stick with many viewing choices....but no cable.
Each room now has its own remote controlled infrared quartz heater unit and a/c unit although you will rarely use the a/c up here!
There is one master bedroom with a bathroom and queen bed and an additonal bedroom with a full loft bed and a single bed on top. Each room boasts French Doors that open onto the wrap-around porch. If additional people come, the couch is perfect for sleeping two persons but requires an extra sheet/sleeping bag per person (bring your own).
A sprial staircase takes you to the ground floor which offers a miniature but cozy reading nook with an adjacent laundry room equipped with a washer and dryer.
The kitchen has all amenities to include a Keurig and microwave. There is now a dishwasher at customers request!
We are dog-friendly and dogs are excepted on an individual basis you must ask first! When left alone we ask that your dog stay outside where a mini-round house attached to a dog house is provided. In case of extreme temperatures, your dog may be brought inside but must be crated indoors!
The location for this home is ideal as it is only .1 mile off of the Blue Ridge Parkway and Aho Gap, "The Crest of the Blue Ridge Mountains." App Ski Mountain is only 5 minutes away! Julian Price Lake & Park is on ly 10! There are plentiful trails, sights to see, adventurous excursions, and the quaint town of Blowing Rock all within 15 minutes of my home. As you drive along the Blue Ridge Parkway to my home, you will want to take time to stop at the four mountain overlooks which provide sensational views of the surrounding wilderness and mountain ranges.
This house, with a personality all of its own, is the perfect getaway! I only ask that you treat my home as you would treat your own and that you will be truly blessed by your stay.
