Drew J. Chiesa, DO, is a 2008 graduate of the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey - School of Osteopathic Medicine, and was elected Internal Medicine Chief Resident in 2011. He completed his three-year fellowship in Gastroenterology at Rowan University - School of Osteopathic Medicine (SOM) in 2014, where he was named Chief Fellow from 2012 to 2014. Dr. Chiesa served as Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine at Rowan University – SOM, and was named Clinical Medicine Course Director. He also served on a multitude of academic committees at Rowan University – SOM, including being elected as resident representative for the New Jersey American Council of Physicians State Council and being a member of the Medical Education Committee for the Department of Internal Medicine. He has numerous publications and has presented his research at conferences across the United States. Dr. Chiesa provides comprehensive diagnosis and treatment for all gastrointestinal diseases. His special interests include: colorectal cancer screening, gastroesophageal reflux disease, inflammatory bowel disease, biliary and liver diseases, and viral hepatitis.
