Restaurant Description cuisine [kwih-ZEEN; kwee-ZEEN] A French term pertaining to a specific style of cooking (as in Chinese cuisine), or a country's food in general. Haute cuisine refers to food prepared in a gourmet or elaborate manner. "Haute cuisine" doesn't describe our restaurant. We aren't "gourmet" or "elaborate", but we are a specific type of "cuisine". Do you remember going to Grandma's house and always finding your favorite foods on the table? What about your Mom's Chicken and Dumplings that you just can't seem to make like her's? That's what we do. Almost everything on our menu came directly from our Mom (who you can also find in the kitchen or behind the register). Her famous meatloaf that caused us not to eat meatloaf anywhere else! Her barbeque chicken that is so tender it falls off the bone; chicken and dumplings that you can eat with a fork; banana pudding still warm from the oven. These are just a few examples of what you will find at Going Home. Best Known For... Home-style Southern cooking! |
