Dr. Place grew up on Long Island, NY. She attended University of Delaware where she received a BS in Animal Science in 2002 and went on to Veterinary School at the University of Georgia where she completed her Dvm in 2006. She has been with the team at Vca Northside since graduation and recently assumed the role of Medical Director for the practice. As a veterinary student Dr. Place loved both large and small animal medicine but chose to focus her professional interests on companion animals. Her itch for large animal medicine is fulfilled by working with the cows at the dairy farm which she and husband run together.

Outside of Veterinary Medicine, she enjoys spending time outside on the farm with husband John and children Mia and Mason. Other interests include gardening/landscaping, reading and cooking/growing nutritious foods.

Pets: 2 crazy Labradors Maizey and Cole, and Walter the barn cat.
