Randi Armstrong, DVM - BALLSTON SPA, NY

Dr. Randi Armstrong, originally from upstate New York, completed her undergraduate degree in Animal Sciences at Cornell University in 2003. Following graduation, she moved to Lexington, Kentucky where she worked for numerous veterinarians, both in the Thoroughbred industry and in general small animal practice. As her passion for veterinary medicine blossomed, she entered the College of Veterinary Medicine at Auburn University and completed her degree in 2011.

Immediately following veterinary school, she completed a one year equine internship in British Columbia, Canada. She then returned to Kentucky to join Crossroads Veterinary Clinic, a small animal practice, where she had worked prior to veterinary school. Most recently, Dr. Armstrong has been helping all types of animals in a mixed animal practice in New York. As she joins Ballston Spa Veterinary Clinic she looks forward to going back to an exclusively small animal veterinary clinic.

Her career interests are focused on preventative medicine and dentistry, surgery and acupuncture. In 2011, during her final year of veterinary school, Dr. Armstrong completed the equine acupuncture course at the Chi Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Florida. Later, she acquired advanced training for dogs and cats in 2013.

Dr. Armstrong enjoys spending leisure time riding horses, watching movies and hiking with her Alabama Yellow dog, Stella.
