Welcome to Norweld. We are experts in designing and manufacturing heavy duty aluminium ute trays and ute canopies for some of Australia’s harshest conditions, including a range of accessories to suit your vehicle.
Norweld has two main divisions including our Aluminium Ute Tray and Ute Canopy Division, and our Project Fabrication Division.

Since our establishment in 1971 we have been providing a consistent superior-level of service and quality workmanship to our clients throughout Australia and internationally.

Norweld has three business locations from which we operate from.

In Cairns we have two first-class workshops involved in the manufacture of aluminium ute trays and ute canopies. Our Ogden St workshop is responsible for:
- Over the counter sales for aluminium products and extrusions and offcuts
- Propeller repairs and sales
- Small repairs and alterations to items such as aluminium boats, aluminium tanks, aluminium ute tool boxes and castings.
- Supply/install of under tray toolboxes and water tanks to existing ute trays.
- General fabrication of tool boxes for utes, tanks, frames and marine based products.
Around the corner from Ogden St is our main aluminium fabrication workshop on Hartley St. This operation is responsible for the fabrication and fit out of:
- Heavy Duty Aluminium Ute Trays
- Heavy Duty Aluminium Ute Canopy
- Ute tray accessories
- Project and larger fabrications including Grandstands, Aluminium Gangways, Seating and Balustrading and Screens.

Due to an ever increasing demand for our quality alloy ute and aluminium tray products we have recently expanded and set up a professional fabrication workshop in the suburb of Northgate in Brisbane.
This workshop is responsible for the fabrication and fit out of some our most popular aluminium tray and canopy packages including the 79 Series Landcruiser Deluxe Tray Package and the Dual Cab Deluxe Model Canopy package.
Our top aluminium ute trays and ute canopies can be fabricated and fitted to most types of dual cab utes and tray backs including Toyota Landcruiser, Toyota Hilux, Mazda BT50, and Ford Ranger.
