North Queensland Recycling Agents

At North Queensland Recycling Agents (NQRA), we’re helping keep our environment clean by processing more than 180 tonnes of recycling each week. Our local, family-owned company has been faithfully servicing residents and businesses in the Cairns region for more than 25 years.

Based in Bungalow, NQRA accepts cardboard, plastic, glass and paper at no charge. Our dedicated team then sorts and distributes recyclable materials to processing companies such as Visy Recycling, Orora and Cleanaway. As agents for the Queensland bottle recycling scheme, Containers for Change, you can drop off your empty aluminium, glass, plastic, steel and liquid paperboard bottles for a 10 cent cash refund. We also provide great value non-ferrous scrap metal purchasing, cardboard collection and confidential document destruction.
