Once you’ve decided to move to Atlanta you are only at the beginning of this transition. Atlanta is a major city and it has a lot to offer its residents so before you start your search for luxury apartments, you need to do some personal reflection. With so many urban and suburban areas to choose from it might be a good idea to start with a few personal decisions first. The advice given by The Atlanta Newcomers Guide,

“Atlanta is known for long commutes, so this will be a big factor in deciding where you want to live. Some other factors may include access to public transportation, school districts, and the type of neighborhood you want to live in.”

Once you’ve carefully considered your preferences in these areas you can then start looking at the type of apartments you’re hoping to settle down in.

If You’re a Business Person

If you’re moving to Atlanta for a job then you’ll likely be working in one of the business hubs in the city. These are located in the Downtown, Midtown, Buckhead, Dunwoody/Perimeter or Alpharetta areas of the city. Chances are if you’ll be working or going to school in anyone of these areas you’ll want to find an apartment home that will be convenient enough for you to commute back and forth without too much hassle.

For Singles

Many single people are not interested in living in family oriented neighborhoods and vice versa. They prefer to live where they can not only be in good proximity to their work but where much of the action is at. Areas of the city that offer easy access to a thriving nightlife and lots of activities are usually more attractive than the traditionally quiet suburbs that most families are looking forward to.

It is one thing to decide you want to live in a luxury apartment in a city like Atlanta, but deciding which part of the city will work best for you will depend pretty much on the kind of life you lead. Atlanta has a little something for everyone and you just need to decide what you want from the city and where to find it. According to the Atlanta Nest,

“Because every neighborhood has its own unique characteristics and amenities, it would be helpful to create a list of some of the most popular Atlanta neighborhoods.”

Remember, choosing a great apartment in the wrong neighborhood could mean that you’ll be moving as soon as your lease runs out. Choose the right neighborhood first, and then look at the type of apartment you want and you’ll have a better chance of finding a place that you can really settle down and live your life fully there.
