Robert A. Bergantino, DVM - ATHOL, MA

Dr. Bergantino was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio and graduated from the Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1985. He and his new bride moved to New England in search of a small town lifestyle and, after working in Fairhaven, Massachusetts for two years, met Dr. Howard Adams D.V.M. The Bergantino's moved to Athol to take over Dr. Adams long established practice in 1987. A second practice was purchased and merged in 1995.
Dr. Bergantino now lives in New Salem, a town smaller than his high school graduating class, with his wife of over thirty years, Betsy. They have three boys, all currently O.S,U students, and also live with two dogs, Shabadoo the Pug and Abita the Boston Terrier, and a cat named Drayman.
Dr Bergantino's professional interests include soft tissue and orthopedic surgery and ear disease. His time spent out of the office revolves around golf, travel, sampling tasty craft brewed beers, and working on his home and pinball machines. All of his pets are named after his favorite beers.
