Dr. Courtney - ASHBURN, VA

Dr. Cyndie Johnson became Dr. Cyndie Courtney after her marriage in May of 2013.

A northern Virginia native, Dr. Cyndie Courtney grew up in Herndon and graduated from Oakton High in Vienna. She continued her education at The College of William and Mary, earning Bachelors of Science with a double major in Biology and Marketing. A true achiever, she graduated Phi Beta Kappa and Summa Cum Laude. She became a veterinarian after obtaining her doctorate in veterinary medicine from the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine at Virginia Tech, graduating again with top honors as a Phi Zeta inductee. Dr. Courtney is an active member of the American Association of Feline Practitioners (A.A.F.P), American Veterinary Medical Association (A.V.M.A.) and American Animal Hospital Association (A.A.H.A.). She has a special interest in feline medicine, dentistry, dermatology, and behavioral medicine.

As a child, Dr. Courtney fell in love with the special relationship people have with their pets and the impact that this connection has on their lives. She firmly believes that the human-animal bond enhances the quality of life for families and pets. Her goal as a veterinarian is to improve the lives of people by improving their relationship with their pets. She loves learning those little things that make each pet unique.

Currently, Dr. Courtney shares her home with her super sweet brindle dog Quinny. In addition to caring for your pets, Dr. Courtney enjoys a variety of activities including swing dancing, reading, and making jewelry. When the weather permits, she loves to be outdoors hiking or biking.
