Thirty minutes from Downtown, Golden and Boulder, as well as parks and hiking trails galore. Skiing is just an hour away!

The Space:
Kick off your exploring shoes and stay awhile at our sweet and cozy basement apartment in historic Arvada. Nestled in one of the most livable neighborhoods in the Denver Metro area, you’ll look forward to coming home to this beautifully updated two-queen-bedroom space. The covered carport fits two vehicles -- an essential feature considering Denver’s delightfully unpredictable weather.

Walkable Olde Town is a five-minute drive away! We recommend Denver Beer Company, Yak & Yeti (Indian food and microbrewery) and the School House. And yes, it’s actually a former school house that has been transformed into a really great watering hole and kitchen. There is a Keurig in the apartment, but if you like to start your morning at the coffee shop, check out Rheinlander Bakery or Hunter Bay.

Back at the house, make your way downstairs into a place all your own, complete with kitchenette and enormous Smart TV. We have a feeling that you’ll especially appreciate the relaxing and functional living area. Wood floors set the tone for a large, comfy room designed for lounging. The TV is set up for streaming, so just enter your credentials to watch. Have work to do? The desk and lightning-fast WiFi are perfect for business travel, remote work and flexcations.

Stash basic necessities and sandwich fixings in the mini-fridge, or revive some tasty leftovers in the microwave. There is also a sink and filtered water jug to make your morning java. And speaking of amenities, feel free to pack light with confidence and make use of the washer and dryer while you’re here.

The first of two queen bedrooms features unique decor and a luxurious mattress -- a must for every weary traveler! You’ll also find a funky chair and dresser so you can really settle in during your stay. Cool accent lighting completes the room. The second queen bedroom has its own character while embracing the comfort and style of the rest of the apartment. The well-crafted bathroom has an excellent walk-in shower. The spacious backyard is the cherry on top of this sundae. We encourage you to browse the photos to really get the feel of this hand-designed space!

From Arvada, a full range of mountain towns, hiking, and skiing are within minutes via I-70 -- including the world-renowned outdoor music venue, Red Rocks Amphitheater. Head east to explore Denver’s RiNo Arts District, Mile High Stadium, Coors Field, and the city’s vibrant neighborhoods.

You will have access to the entire apartment. There is a covered carport in the driveway that fits two cars. Our neighborhood also has plentiful street parking.

The Neighborhood:
Our home is located in Arvada, a desirable Denver suburb. The district of Olde Town Arvada is included on the National Register of Historic Places and boasts more than 100 restaurants, breweries, specialty stores, galleries, bars, and other businesses. We highly recommend you walk (15 mins) or drive (5 minutes) to Ralston-Central Park, which is located slightly to the south of the house. This is a sprawling, relatively new park with miles of walking trails, an incredible playground and a splash pad in the summer. It’s worth a visit!

The town of Arvada first revealed itself to be a Colorado gem in 1850 as the site where gold was first found in Colorado. It has remained golden by proving to be a quiet, charming city with easy access to downtown Denver, stunning views of the Rocky Mountains, 122 parks and more than 140 miles of trails – marked with at least seven public bicycle repair stations. It’s said each Arvada resident lives within 10 minutes‘ walking distance to a park.

Zooming out, you will notice that Arvada is an ideal jumping-off point for exploring Denver, Golden, Boulder, Rocky Mountain National Park, ski country, mountain towns, Colorado Springs, Garden of the Gods, and much, much more. One of the perks of staying in the suburbs is easy access to grocery stores and other conveniences. You really will enjoy exploring each and every star in the Arvada firmament. Nearby Wheat Ridge and Tennyson Street in Berkeley are treats as well. It’s a wonderful place to visit!

Getting Around:
You’ll have access to the driveway and covered carport for convenient two-vehicle parking. If you do park on the street around Denver -- especially Downtown! -- street sweeping regulations are posted and strictly enforced, so follow the rules to avoid getting a ticket.

For those without a car, we suggest utilizing a ride sharing service like Uber or Lyft. Both are readily available in Denver and its suburbs. Denver itself is very walkable, and you will see rental bikes and scooters scattered around town. From Union Station downtown, you can catch a light rail to several other neighborhoods.

If you’ve never been to Denver, it’s easy to get oriented. The Rocky Mountains are to the West, and Downtown is Southeast of Arvada. I-70 West will take you into the mountains and straight to the ski areas, while I-70 East intersects with I-25 for access to Fort Collins to the North and Colorado Springs to the South. The 36 takes you to Boulder, and eventually the Rocky Mountain National Park gateway towns of Lyons and Estes Park. Get exploring!

Other Things to Note:
This is a non-smoking, non-vaping home! We appreciate that some of our guests may wish to indulge in some of Colorado’s herbal offerings, but you must do so outside! An odor fee will be added to your reservation if this policy is violated. Thank you in advance for your compliance.

We do have neighbors! Please observe the quiet hours of 10 PM to 8 AM, especially in the backyard.
