Dr. Smizinski grew up in southeastern South Dakota. She attended South Dakota State University for her undergraduate work where she majored in biology. She attended Iowa State College of Veterinary Medicine and graduated in 2003. She moved to the Chicago area after graduating and has been working in the northwest suburbs since then. In her free time, Dr Smizinski enjoys spending time with her husband and son, as well as their four family pets. Her hobbies also include photography and reading.
