Dr. Steven Dunbar, DVM - ANAHEIM, CA

Dr. Steven Dunbar is owner and founder of VCA Yorba Regional Animal Hospital. After obtaining his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Kansas State University, Dr. Dunbar moved to California and established Eastlake Animal Hospital in 1984. Wanting to offer more services to his clients, he expanded and opened East Hills Animal Hospital, the area?s first and much-needed 24-hour emergency care and boarding facility.

After almost 25 years of veterinary service to the community, Dr. Dunbar decided to pursue a vision. This vision was a veterinary hospital like no other, a hospital that would be equipped to offer the best medicine possible while exceeding the highest standards and expectations of his clients. A true hospital open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, providing round the clock service and care for pets. A facility that offers specialized procedures and board certified veterinarians not found in general veterinary practices.

VCA Yorba Regional Animal Hospital has received numerous rewards, issued by several veterinary colleges and technician schools as an observation training center. Due to the high quality of care and standards in practicing medicine, our hospital has received the distinct recognition of being certified by the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA). A distinction that less than 12 percent of North American veterinary hospitals achieve.

Dr. Dunbar enjoys boating, fishing and traveling with his wife, Jan, and their 3 sons. The Dunbar family includes a Munsterlander Pointer named Sadie.
