Donny Roberts - ADA, OK

Clinical experience: 15 years
Donny Roberts, PTA, received an associates degree in applied science in 1995 from TCC in Hurst, Texas. He received training in traditional Chinese medicine while attending TCC. Donny received his licensure for PTA in the same year in the state of Oklahoma.
He has experience in home health, inpatient care, orthopedic and hand therapy settings, sports medicine, and aquatics therapies with both adults and children with injuries to include all disciplines. He also has experience as a licensed Emergency Medical Technician and an elite gymnastic coach
He has a strong background in working with neurological impairment, spine disorders, and upper and lower extremity impairment. He has had special training in performing functional capacity evaluations and work steps fit for work evaluations as well as aquatic therapy.
Donny has an interest in manual therapy which includes myofascial release, muscle energy techniques, and contract release technique to prevent soft tissue and joint dysfunction. He is also interested in Aquatics therapy for the spine and lower extremity. This gives a hands-on approach as an early intervention to gait anomalies and spinal unloading for acute post surgical patients prior to land based exercise.
Donny has been a member of the Select Physical Therapy Team since May 2007. He currently practices at Select Physical Therapy�s clinic at 2020 Arlington Ada, Oklahoma. He enjoys motorsports, coaching gymnastics and the Japanese martial arts and women�s self defense classes.
